24 Hours in Nice, France
Gorgeous views: To get a full look at one of Scott’s favorite places, we took a self-guided walking tour through the parks, gardens, boulevards and beaches of France’s most scenic coastal city.
After a walk through Place Masséna — a huge square that transitions into a flower-filled park — we went for a stroll down the Promenade des Anglais, famous for its blue chairs and the pebbled beaches with gorgeous views of la Baie des Anges.
After a short hike, we got some Incredible views of the city — and the megayachts of Villefranche-sur-Mer — from Parc du Mont Boron.
Wandering the streets of Vieille Ville (Old Town) was a great way to beat the crowds — and to stumble upon some incredible baked goods!
On a whim, we stopped at picturesque cafe, Marinette, for a cappuccino and sweets. I got l’indémoulable au chocolat, which was something between a soufflé and a pudding. It was the dessert highlight of the trip! Marinette also has a fantastic Instagram that will leave you dreaming of lazy afternoons on the Côte d'Azur.
We finished the trip by stopping in a cafe for a glass of rosé, which is perhaps the most famous (and, admittedly, basic) wine of the French Riviera.
